The IKFF International Rankings: Biathlon = jerk + snatch Men’s Biathlon: every lift in Jerk is 1 point and every lift in Snatch is 0.5 points. The snatch score is calculated as the sum of total lifts made with both hands, divided by 2. For example: 35 lifts were done in Jerk and the snatch = 24 lifts with right hand and 40 with left hand. IKFF Africa will hold, for the first time ever, an IKFF Kettlebell Sport event – 15 February 2014 08h00 (we will finish when we’re finished – no time limit). The event will take place instead of the normal Saturday class, and is open to everyone. Class Times – 2011 Festive Season

Class times will be slightly different for the next 3 weeks (starting tomorrow 20 December 2011). There will be one morning session at 06h00 Mon-Fri, and one evening session at 18h00 Mon-Thu. Saturdays will remain unchanged at 07h00. Public holidays, including special XMAS (Sunday) and New Years Day (Sunday) sessions will be the same as Saturday at 07h00.   The 1/1/2012 workout challenge (optional) – 2012 snatches with only one hand change (men 12kg, ladies 8kg). No doubt about it, posting pictures and videos of training sessions on Facebook, youtube etc. has great visual impact and can tweet (pun intended) the interest of existing and would be clients to join or re-join classes. Be careful though – critics are also watching, and when they see videos or pictures that show poor technique, these same posts can be potentially damaging to you, and to the rest of the kettlebell community.
