Kettlebell Sport – 1st ever in Africa
IKFF Africa will hold, for the first time ever, an IKFF Kettlebell Sport event – 15 February 2014 08h00 (we will finish when we’re finished – no time limit).
The event will take place instead of the normal Saturday class, and is open to everyone.
The events will be as follows:
Men – 10 min
Jerk
Long Cycle
Snatch
Men – 5 min sprint
Jerk
Snatch
Ladies – 10 min
Jerk
Long Cycle
Snatch
Ladies – 5 min sprint
OALC
Snatch
Entrants will select their own weights for each event. If they successfully complete their set, they have the option to do another set within 30 mins at their next selected weight.
Entrants are permitted to enter as many events as they would like to.
For THIS competition there will be NO medals. This event is for benchmark/calibration only. The objective is to set your own baseline as a future comparison for your own improvement. You compete against yourself, so you cannot “win”…. and you cannot lose. I pretty much EXPECT that EVERYONE WILL ENTER! (failing which – there will be retribution from the MurderTroyd).
Please send an email to trent@ikff.za.net with the events that you will be entering by 31 January 2014.
Judging will be performed by those who attended the seminar by Arsenij Zhernakov on how to judge Kettlebell Sport competitions.
