WotD/Interval Timer APP

/ How To (general)/ 2 comments

In this section, we share some of the workouts and drills which we use for conditioning. Almost all of the are time-based, and make use of THE best timer app available. Get yourself Impetus Interval Timer, which runs on almost any Android device. The basic version is FREE, but that will not allow you to import/export workout presets which we will include in the WotD.
To be able to import the files shared, I strongly recommend getting yourself the PLUS version – which is about ZAR15 (~USD $2) – less than a cup of coffee, and utterly brilliant.

To import a file to your Impetus Plus timer on the device you will be using, click on the link to the file (using the device with Impetus on it). You will see a screen that looks like this…google-drive-download-screen
Click the download button (circled in red). You then go into Impetus on the device, go to the import presets option, choose “From the device memory”…and then find the file you downloaded (normally under Downloads/)

If you don’t have an android device, either get one, or get yourself an emulator to run on your PC/laptop/mac.  There are articles on How-To do that on VirtualBox (also free) here

  1. impetusis simply awesome…. its made things a lot easier and faster….
    I’m impressed

  2. Impetus is awesome. The interface takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get past that, you will wonder how you ever managed without it. It includes Text-To-Speech, so it will tell you what to do, and when to do it, allowing you to focus on training/teaching, instead of watching the clock or looking at the WotD to see what comes next
